Help run a private event for Kids Kicking Cancer families at the Institute of Science! Volunteers will be placed at individual activity/experiment tables set up throughout the museum. The families have an open 2 hour time frame to experience the activities while the museum is closed to the general public.

What an amazing organization this was to visit! Our members were able to experience being led by a Leader Dog while blindfolded! Members toured the facility and learned about how these dogs are bred, raised and trained to support the visually impaired. Partnerships with these furry friends allow the visually impaired to develop confidence and be more independent! Impact100 Oakland County awarded a $100,000 grant to Variety the Children’s Charity at the Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony held Wednesday, October 26, 2016. As the recipient was announced, cheers and applause filled the Birmingham Athletic Club where Impact100 Oakland County members and guests gathered to share in the excitement of the evening.
We would like sincerely thank the four other deserving non-profit finalists that presented at our Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony; Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, CARE House of Oakland County, Eton Academy and The Furniture Bank of Southeast Michigan. This was an incredibly tough decision and we hope that we can partner with all of your organizations in the future.
In August we had volunteers visit Camp Casey and brighten a sick child’s day by bringing a horse, an arts-and-craft project and food to their own backyard. Camp Casey is a nonprofit horseback riding program for children with cancer, sickle cell anemia and/or aplastic anemia.
Last month our members took advantage of an incredible opportunity to work with the team from Humble Design to transform a home for a wonderful family.
